The Commission on Accreditation of Pastoral and Psychotherapy (CAPPT) is a specialized body that accredits post-graduate training in Clinical Pastoral Education/Training (CPE/T) and Pastoral Psychotherapy training programs in the United States as well as internationally.

Charles Hicks, J.D., LL.M.


Mr. Hicks is a principle with Health Law Associates, a regional trial and transactional law firm with an emphasis on the representation of health care providers.  He received his J.D. from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock Bowen School of Law and his Masters of Law in Health Law and Policy at the University of Houston school of law.  Mr. Hicks has been a long time adjunct instructor at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in the College of Medicine.  He teaches regularly medical ethics, law and medicine and law and the mental health system.  In addition to teaching at the Medical Center he is a frequent speaker at law schools and legal settings.  He is often associated in health law cases throughout the country and is licensed to practice law in Arkansas and Texas.  He is admitted to the State Bars of Texas and Arkansas as well as to the Federal District, Circuit and United States Supreme Court.
